In the fall of 2008, a handful of former Just Economics members got together to construct a new workshop that could help explain the then-imploding global financial crisis. Gilda Haas and I also created animated video versions of this workshop for broader distribution. Because we needed to put the crisis in context of decades of economic policies, our explanation came in three parts:
1. What happened to the distribution of wealth with Demand Side Policies;
2. What happened to the distribution of wealth with Supply Side Policies; and,
3. What happened to Wall Street and Main Street during the Financial Crisis – Meltdown.
Thanks to the many folks who contributed to the development of this workshop and videos: Gilda Haas, Eileen Rafael, Ellen Teninty, and Claudia Vizcarra.
